Anything you need for creative hobby's, in abundance
What a great shop! It is enormous and they have an unbelievable assortment of art supplies, books about art, paper goods, hobby and fun stuff such as stickers and much, much more. On top of that the staff is super friendly and it seems like they enjoy working there. Happy employees make a good shop great. If I lived in Graz I would come to this shop all the time.
Location: it's a little bit far out there - I suggest you take a bike or a car to get there. It's surrounded by massiv areas of 'nothing' Shop: what ever you need to do your art, you'll find it there. You don't know what to do next? Go an shave a look at the book section. They even placed a chair there, so you can read for new ideas and buy the material there. Staff: super friendly, very helpful and well knowledged Cleanliness: it's all very tidy and put in place. Café: they have a little area to have a cup of coffee and relax (or wait, until your better half is done with their shopping)
Took a picture in to be framed and was provided an offer. A week later I get an email to just confirm whether they should go ahead with the framing as discussed and upon checking the attachments, they had added €20 to the original offer, because the work (Einrahmung) was apparently not included in the original offer. Upon comparing the original offer with the one in the attachment, I noticed no difference and that "Einrahmung" was in fact on the original, but when I sent the original offer for comparison, I received no further response. As I personally feel €85 is too much to frame a picture of 20x40cm, which by the way you can get made for €25 elsewhere, I collected the picture. Upon collection, the corner now has a crumple as if it had been dropped on it, and the passepartout on the picture now also has more than one slight bend. These were definitely not there before as I originally transported it to the shop taped between two large bits of cardboard. Shady tactics and clearly no respect. Absolutely gutted that a non-removable part of the picture has also been damaged. Never again. Disgusting.
Beat place for buying art supplies on earth. You can be in there for hours, nobody bothers you, but are helpful if needed. It's a really big store so be prepared. Second floor is full of picture frames.
