Your data, your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have specific rights over the personal data Veted holds about you. This page explains each one and how to exercise it.

Right to access (Art. 15)

Receive a copy of all personal data we hold about you, the purposes for which we process it, the categories of recipients, and the retention period.

Right to rectification (Art. 16)

Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you. Listed contractors can also self-serve via their profile.

Right to erasure (Art. 17)

Request deletion of your personal data, also known as the right to be forgotten. Subject to limited exceptions for legal record-keeping.

Right to restrict / object (Art. 18, 21)

Pause processing of your data while we investigate a dispute, or object to processing that is based on our legitimate interests.

Right to portability (Art. 20)

Receive your data in a structured, commonly-used, machine-readable format (JSON), or have us transmit it directly to another controller where technically feasible.

How to submit a request

Three steps

    Email privacy@veted.eu

    State which right you are exercising, the email address associated with your account or listing, and any specific data you are asking about.

  2. 2

    Verify your identity

    We may ask for proof of identity to ensure we are not disclosing your data to a third party. Usually a confirmation email from the address on file is sufficient.

  3. 3

    We respond within 30 days

    Most requests are resolved in under a week. Complex requests (e.g. portability of large data exports) may take the full 30 days, in which case we will keep you updated.

Lodge a complaint

If you believe we have not handled your request appropriately, you have the right to lodge a complaint with our supervisory authority, the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (AKI):

EU residents may alternatively lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in their country of habitual residence.
