I am extremely dissatisfied with the property management company Remax Linz City. The operating costs have recently been massively increased, which is a significant burden for us tenants. We therefore tried to actively find solutions and reduce costs by offering to take over cleaning and landscaping ourselves. However, the proposed agreement would have also required us to assume responsibility for snow removal, including liability. After consulting with the tenancy law department of the Chamber of Labor, we were explicitly advised against assuming such liability. Our understandable feedback on this point, however, only received a curt and unhelpful response: "Okay, then it stays as it was!" The personal contact with the responsible employee, Mr. O., was particularly disappointing. In a phone call, our arguments and suggestions were completely ignored. Instead, he claimed that certain things had already been done "free of charge," even though it was supposedly not his job to deal with such matters. The conversation ended in a completely unprofessional and disrespectful tone with the words: "You're not all there, bye for now." Such treatment of tenants is absolutely unacceptable. I expect professionalism, a solution-oriented approach, and respectful treatment from a property management company – unfortunately, I experienced the exact opposite here.
