Unfortunately, my bag was damaged at Mister Minit. I only wanted a small seam repaired because a loop had come loose. Instead of sewing, they simply glued the area – apparently, the bag was too thick for the sewing machine. While attempting to sew the bag, it was likely damaged further. This damage was definitely not present when I dropped it off. The employee was also quite unfriendly. His proposed solution was to cover the damage with a black marker and deny having caused it. Such behavior is completely unacceptable to me. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Mister Minit.
On Monday, I brought in a pair of shoes with leather heels and rubber soles, which he was supposed to replace within half an hour. I returned and collected the shoes, only to find that the heel was 1 cm shorter (two layers of leather). His explanation was that the layer was porous. That's no excuse, as you simply replace the leather layer, not shorten the shoe, since the shoe was designed for that heel height. I still had to pay for the second layer of rubber, even though it was the employee's fault – a total of €36. Outrageous!
