After the closure of the Glanzstoff factory, the groundwater level in St. Pölten rose considerably, and our basement slab is now directly at this level, resulting in damp basement walls. To prevent further water ingress after heavy rain, we wanted a sustainable solution and obtained several quotes. Based on the excellent advice from Mr. Dörflinger, we chose NCT. The leaking butt joint was repaired from the inside using the mineral-based NCT system. The result is a clean, durable, and aesthetically pleasing solution. We had problems with a damp basement wall (in our living space) in a basement built in the early 1980s. We obtained several quotes from competitors – with a wide variety of solutions – but NCT's offer, thanks in no small part to Mr. Dörflinger's professional advice, proved to be the best option. The affected walls had to be removed along a length of 13 meters, and all layers had to be excavated along a narrow strip along the sides, down to the foundation slab. The project was completed to our complete satisfaction, and I am very confident that we will never have to make use of the 30-year warranty.

The living room walls were moldy and damp because the wall was largely in contact with the ground. Humidity was between 75 and 80%. Exterior renovation was not feasible for structural reasons. A complete renovation was carried out by NCT ​​a year ago. Currently, humidity is between 32 and 40% – perfect!

Were you impressed by the way the connection between the walls and the floor slab was completely sealed deep beneath the screed, without weakening the masonry through point injections? Yes, because injections are a quick, short-term solution that is similarly expensive. Unfortunately, it's difficult to see exactly where the material penetrates and how well it insulates without opening the floor. After NCT opened up the floor at the sides, I was able to take a closer look. This allowed me to see where the water was seeping in and how it would be sealed. The NCT employees were incredibly thorough. They first cut out a wide gap in the screed around the walls, then removed the wet insulation and vacuumed up the water. Afterward, they used dehumidifiers and fans to dry the floor quickly. This was no easy task, as there's underfloor heating and thick insulation in the floor. They solved the problem very efficiently without damaging the heating system. The underfloor heating remained on throughout the process, which wonderfully aided the drying of the basement. Any remaining moisture is chemically bound naturally by the application of NCT Cem sealant. I'd also like to commend NCT's professionalism: The workers were friendly and punctual. Upon completion of the work, I will receive complete documentation and a long-term guarantee on the tightness and dryness of the substrate in all areas.
