I had a very disappointing experience with Colivi and would advise others to be cautious. From the moment I moved in, the apartment was already in poor condition, with broken kitchen cabinets, a damaged toilet seat, and mold on the shower curtain. This clearly suggests that no proper checks are carried out between tenants, which would be essential to prevent this kind of situation. More importantly, there was a persistent moisture and mold issue on the ceiling of my bedroom, which I reported but was never properly addressed, despite promises of intervention. Over time, the overall living conditions significantly deteriorated. The shared areas became increasingly unhygienic (clogged sinks, waste left out, dirty dishes, visible dirt), to the point where the apartment was no longer properly livable. I raised these issues towards the end of my stay, but they were not addressed, and the responsibility was simply shifted back onto tenants. As a result, I was forced to leave earlier than planned because the conditions had become unsuitable. What is particularly disappointing is the lack of follow-up and accountability. Despite multiple emails, detailed explanations, and supporting evidence, I am still left without any resolution or meaningful response. Overall, this experience highlights a clear gap between the expected standards and the actual management of the property. I would not recommend Colivi based on my experience.
I had a bad to average experience with Co-Livi, and despite having rented across New Zealand, the UK and the Netherlands, this was by far my worst experience with a rental company. The first Co-Livi room I moved in to was filthy and damaged - there were silverfish, black mould and a rotting ceiling in my bedroom (which they had been informed of by previous tenants but hadn't fixed), broken handles and plumbing. When I insisted on changing rooms, I was ignored and then given only one other option after turning up to their office and calling repreatedly. The next place was much better maintained, though overpriced. When I tried to extend the lease a few days after the 3 month notice period, I was told it had already been rented out by another tentant. Thankfully, a lawyer assisted me and while Co-livi said my complaints were "nonsense," the tenant purportedly then took another room voluntarily. In fact, Co-Livi had plans to split my room in to two rooms and renovations began the day I moved out - there had been no other tenant. I have never experienced such overt lies from a rental company, and in general, compare the Co-Livi experience to an overpriced hostel , where the guests are responsible for cleaning and maintainence, unless there are significant issues. While I was lucky to have kind flatmates, there seems to be no screening of tenants, and I heard complaints by other Co-Livi tenants who had experienced sexual harrassment by a room mate. No action was taken by Co-Livi - rather it was deemed a personal conflict. If you are lucky to have moved in after and with considerate guests, then it works well, but Co-Livi are not interested in anything more than maximising profit at the expense of tenant wellbeing.
I rented a room in an apartment in the center of Vienna through CoLivi, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The apartment was exactly as described—clean, well-located, and with all the amenities I needed. The CoLivi team was incredibly professional, always available to help with any questions, and made the entire process smooth and worry-free. I highly recommend them as a reliable option for anyone looking for housing in Vienna. I was very happy during my stay and would definitely choose CoLivi again in the future!
When I moved in there were still things that needed sorting, but the flat was a new addition to their portfolio. The issues were resolved reasonably quickly and helpful. The price for a short term, all in and no strings is ok and as landlords they are really friendly. It was lovely to get to know so many others from different countries and backgrounds whilst I was there living in the flat and would recommend them.
I moved to Vienna in February this year and I rent a Colivi apartment. The room was perfect for me, with lot of natural light, big windows, wardrobe, etc. I really liked that all the apartment comes completely furnished and all expenses are clear from the starting of my rent. I never pay an extra euro than the original one. It is a good option if you are looking for a room or flat in Vienna, also you can choose where you would like to live in Vienna, as they have a lot of choices across the city of Vienna and more. I highly recommend Colivi.
