Uitstekende service.

The deed for my apartment was finalized 9 years ago and I was extremely satisfied. Now I have bought a house and sold my apartment with a property exchange, which made things slightly more complex. But I could always count on the firm's help. I do not regret that they represented my interests a second time.

Notary Deckers was appointed as liquidator. After paying an initial fee, he chose to do nothing for more than a year, simply because it was legally possible. As a result, my sister and I missed out on rental income from various properties for over a year: who is going to compensate us for that? Clearly not the notary's office. When we finally reached a final agreement with the opposing party, they failed to even serve a correct version of the deed (it was not the signed version that was retained, but a previous version), meaning a payment instruction to a bank could not be executed. How could they have known? The notary's office had neglected to inform them about it. The fact that the opposing party's lawyers were located on the floor above the notary's office certainly didn't help. Perhaps that is why the notary should have refused the assignment. Apart from the fact that everything proceeded just within the legal framework, there is nothing positive to say about this notary's office. So stay away, unless you have deep pockets and a great deal of patience, or if you get a kick out of amateurism and lots of frustration!

Our collaboration with Deckers Notarissen went very smoothly from start to finish when purchasing our house. We received pleasant and professional guidance, with clear information presented in plain language. Communication was efficient, fast, and professional, making us feel reassured and unburdened throughout the entire process. An excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable, accessible, and expert notary – especially if you plan to cycle from Antwerp ;)
