We purchased our apartment around a year ago. We are only posting this review now because apartments in the same building were still being marketed until recently, and we preferred to wait until that process had finished before sharing our experience. Although we were not the agency's contractual client (the seller hired them), we dealt with Hermanns throughout the purchase process for several months, and all of our interactions regarding the sale were with them. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. During the purchase process, we were shown information that led us to believe the apartment included a different cellar than the one we ultimately received. The purchase process became significantly delayed and far more stressful than it should have been, especially as first-time buyers. We ultimately had to hire a lawyer to protect our interests. In the end, pursuing the matter further would have cost more in legal fees than the value of the cellar itself, so we reluctantly accepted the smaller cellar. Communication with the agency became sufficiently difficult that our lawyer had to contact the owner of Hermanns directly. That conversation was extremely unpleasant. After publishing this review, we received a formal demand letter (mise en demeure) from the agency's lawyers demanding that we remove it within eight days and warning that legal proceedings would follow if we did not. Receiving this letter was distressing. Nevertheless, this review reflects our genuine experience and honest opinion as buyers based on the events described above. We understand that others may have had a different experience. This review is simply an account of ours, and based on that experience, we cannot recommend this agency.
