Coloc Housing

I shared a beautiful, central Antwerp house. The rent is a bit high for the city but less than other colivings there and the vibe and amenities at the house were SO GOOD. We had a cleaner, a stupendous garden with a grill and smart outdoor furniture. The house was modern with design furniture. And the Coloc staff are totally huggable people, attentive, proactive and generally adorable. Recommend.

I moved to Gent in September and I could not be more happy about finding Coloc. As an international it can be a bit difficult to find affordable accomodation (avoiding scammers in the process). Coloc offers cozy rooms in the heart of the city, removes the struggle of finding accomodation and promotes networking withing their rommies network by making events. All of that is thanks to the people who work there, who I personally bonded with through my time as a roomie. I could move out exactly the day I chose and faced no surprises. Always grateful to them!

Coloc Housing was my first co-housing experience, and I would absolutely do it again if you ask me! During my 1.5 years there, I made a lot of wonderful friends! It's often challenging for foreigners to settle in a place, but with this community, it seemed so effortless.<br><br>The house was exceptional, cozy, and equipped with all the necessities for a memorable stay. The areas were tastefully remodelled and furnished!<br><br>I heartily endorse Coloc housing!

They are really unprofessional and I had a terrible experience with them

In general, I wouldn't say I had a bad experience here. I'd never have the opportunity to live in a beautiful house like this by myself and the people I lived with were always respectful. However, there are some points I'd like to point out so that other people are aware of this.<br>- I lived in a furnished house, which means the threshold of moving in and moving out is very low. There is however no clause in the contract that engages housemates to commit on staying for a minimum period. The consequence in our house was that several housemates claimed at first to stay for at least a year, but left after only a few months. This coming and going atmosphere was not ideal for the people that preferred a bit more stability in the house.<br>- I noticed that the Coloc communication was not always ideal: e.g. communicating vaguely or inaccurately or sometimes even no communication at all. My worst experience was the fact that they did not communicate about construction works in the house. Suddenly, during mid-summer, a group of construction workers entered the house (without our consent) and started moving stuff around and transformed the house into a yard (also without consent). A housemate was even confronted in the bathroom with a worker outside setting up scaffolding. The works ended up taking more than a month without Coloc really taking into account our personal requests. The arguments from their side being: "Well, the workers are there, for efficiency reasons we have to do it like this. We planned it with the owner of the house like this.". We pushed for a one month refund and eventually received that partially.

Got accomodated in Coloc, Gent Belgium in 2025. Best descision I made. Spent quality fun time with house mates. Lovely folks all around the world. If we want quiet space or fun or collaboration, cooking together, sharing foods, walking partners to the park / gym. Dancing buddies in gent festival. God it was a heavenly experience. I enjoyed each day stay. Spacious rooms and fully furnished with all kitchen items. Less paper work. Crisp and clear contracts. Everything is systematic. Love the idea.

What I really like about Coloc Housing is how much they genuinely care about everything they do. The houses themselves are great, beautiful, fully furnished, and ready to live in from day one.<br><br>But what stands out to me even more are the systems they’ve put in place to make shared living simple. The website is super easy to use and helps you keep track of all your documents, the app makes it easy to join events and stay updated, and they have clear communication channels with a support team that responds super fast. You never feel on your own, whenever you have a question, someone’s there to help, and you can really feel that.<br><br>They also listen to feedback and keep improving things all the time, which shows they’re always trying to make the experience better.<br><br>For anyone moving to a new city or country, especially alone, that kind of support is a what I need. It’s not just about finding a place to live, but about becoming part of an international, welcoming community where you can make friends, settle in faster, and truly feel at home.

I stayed at COLOC for one year, and my experience was outstanding. The facilities are excellent, the location is ideal, and the team ensures everything runs smoothly from cleaning to quick ticket resolution. As someone moving from abroad, I truly appreciated how COLOC provides everything you need to settle in comfortably.<br><br>What stood out the most was the community: I’ve made friends for a lifetime here.
