They sent someone to drill 20cm x 20cm hole through the wall of the hallway into my bathroom to "find out whats behind the wall". Instead of asking me, they considered violating my private space and damaging the building. Luckily i just came home in time. Its absurd. I have no words anymore. My point of contact is unprofessional and not responsive and they refuse to fix safety issues while raising the rent as soon as they can regularly.
After visiting a house I applied for renting it, but my email was misunderstood for a request for visiting. They answered that they could not give me an appointment, and they already had found a tenant. Probably the text of my email has not even beed red, resulting in losing the value of my application. They use too many automatic systems, apparently contributong to this kind of confusion.
I moved to Gent six months ago and I’ve contacted a lot of rental agencies and agents in Belgium. I visited lots of properties. I super recommend AL for people searching for serious and trustful service. Marte is professional and thoughtful. She kindly showed me the house that I live now and guided me during the process of renting it. I arrived the country with very basic knowledge of the rental market and laws, but thanks to them, everything was neat and quickly done. I’m totally satisfied with my choice and I’m sure that they will help with any possible problem regarding housing during my stay in Gent.
