I was a tenant in a building managed by them, and it was a complete mess. They refused to do anything about the excessive cannabis use (seriously, what's with these people smoking at 8 AM on their balconies?), the barking dog (it's not the dog's fault, of course...), and the tenant who played their music all night (that was truly epic, a property management company that let this go on for three years, well done, guys). Sure, they don't have the power of the police, but a king is a king, and a property management company can break a lease if they have even a modicum of respect for the people living in their buildings, people who have to put up with their mismanagement. For landlords, I think they're great, but for tenants, it's definitely something to avoid if the building is managed by them.
