Today I installed a DVC video doorphone, a product for which the aforementioned company is the importer for the Republic of Croatia. The doorphone was purchased from an electrical materials store that purchased the same product from this company. The instructions I received with the product do not show some very important details about addressing the internal units. After some wasted time, I called the company from which I purchased the doorphone to ask if they had any suitable instructions or if they could provide me with support regarding the aforementioned problem. They do not have any instructions except for those that come with the product and they do not know the technical details because they are only traders. I decided to call the distributor directly. A salesman answered the phone and I told him about the problem, to which he asked me where I bought the product, I told him which seller I bought it from, he replied, call him. I tried to explain that they were only resellers and that they did not know anything about the technical details. The man replied that it was not his/her problem. So if the product was purchased from them then he could help me, and if not then no, because that is the company's policy. Isn't a distributor the one who wants to market their product and do everything they can to help ensure that the product is installed without any hassle and works properly? I bought two sets, for two buildings, and I'm a potential buyer for who knows how many more sets, because we install at least a dozen of them a year. Well, we certainly won't be installing these again.
