Construction Supervision Brno - Ing. Otakar Hobza

On behalf of the Municipality of Přibyslavice, Brno-venkov District, I express an exceptionally positive assessment of the work of Mr. Ing. Otakar Hobza, who performed construction technical supervision during the implementation of the project "Reconstruction of the Salajka Building - Multifunctional Building Přibyslavice" from 12/2021 to 09/2023. This was a demanding reconstruction of the building. The oldest part dates back to the 16th century. Cooperation with Mr. Ing. Hobza was highly professional. He demonstrated excellent expertise and ability for comprehensive construction supervision with a focus on detail. The result was work carried out in the required quality and in accordance with the project documentation, technical standards and work contract. His ability to effectively communicate and coordinate all parties involved was also a significant contribution. Mr. Ing. Hobza's uncompromising and precise approach to work largely contributed to our project being awarded 1st place in the Construction of the South Moravian Region competition for 2023 in the Building Reconstruction category. We would like to thank Mr. Hobz for his excellent service throughout the entire construction process. Although some unexpected problems arose during the implementation, thanks to his professional approach, experience and quick reactions, everything was resolved on time and without major complications. The construction supervisor made sure that every problem was carefully investigated and resolved effectively, which gave us great confidence. With Mr. Hobza, we managed to revise and correct the poorly prepared budget provided by the designer at the last minute before the start of construction, which allowed us to jointly make a relevant comparison of the offers of the construction companies we approached. Mr. Hobza then supervised the entire construction process until the handover of the finished family home. We greatly appreciate his maximum commitment, high level of expertise, and overview of current trends. His continuous information about the possibilities and variants of solutions, the ongoing documentation of the construction, which was immediately shared online, and the opportunity to ask questions about any ambiguity at any time, even beyond the supervision itself, were very helpful. The constant pressure to make timely decisions when selecting interior equipment was also useful, so as not to jeopardize the construction schedule. Only thanks to this above-standard approach did we manage to complete the entire construction within 12 months, completely without unnecessary nerves. Thank you very much not only for the professional, but also for the very human approach spiced with a fresh sense of humor.

Thank you to Mr. Hobz for taking us through the entire story of building our dream house. I sincerely appreciate the fact that I had the opportunity to build my own home under the supervision of such a professional and, above all, a person like him. From start to finish, I felt that I could rely on him and that he would always help me. His technical and professional knowledge of construction is surpassed only by his unique and authentic approach to the client. I thank him from the bottom of my heart for being my mentor, friend on the phone 24 hours a day, designer, entertainer, protector, controller, mediator, girl in trouble and, when needed, also a terminator (of the contractor, of course :D). A year and a half of construction brought me a lot of stress, serious decisions, weight gain and mental pain, but time will heal everything... ANYWAY, JUST FOR YOUR SAKE, I WILL REMEMBER THE ENTIRE PROCESS OF BUILDING OUR HOUSE WITH A WARM FEELING IN MY SOUL. IT WAS A WALK THROUGH HELL, I AM GLAD I WALKED WITH YOU BY THE HAND. Mr. Hobza is an experienced construction supervisor who knows what he is doing, and most importantly, he knows what construction companies do (or don't do). If you are building for the first time and are an amateur with no construction experience like me, I highly recommend Mr. Hobza - he can explain the issue clearly and simply and listen empathetically to the client's requirements. Many times, we have jointly solved situations that I myself considered unsolvable. I sincerely recommend his services to all people who want to protect not only their construction investment, but also their mental health so that they can properly enjoy their new home.

Working with Mr. Hobza had a huge positive impact on the result, price and duration of the renovation of our apartment, which took place and ended during the strictest anti-coronavirus measures. What I appreciate most about Mr. Hobza is his excellent and fast communication, reliability and punctuality, patience, help in explaining and implementing my ideas, and empathy, thanks to which he was able to propose solutions that resonated with us. Mr. Hobza first prepared a tender for us, in which quite a few companies participated. His approach to the tender maximized our privacy, and thanks to his work with the budget, bid checks and ideas, we were offered a very good price in the final round. This cooperation was an excellent investment, because as people who do not work in the construction industry on a daily basis, we would not have had the chance to discover what was disproportionately exaggerated or unnecessary in the tenders and what was not, or what was worth pushing for a price reduction and what was not. A bonus was a well-drafted contract with the construction company, which supported our negotiating position regarding the terms of the reconstruction. During the actual implementation, we had an overview of everything, Mr. Hobza controlled not only the quality of the execution and the correction of errors and defects (or their compensation), but also the economics of the construction. By controlling the budgets and communication with the construction manager and the representative of the construction company, he saved us not only a lot of time, but above all finances that were not lost on additional work. In addition, he saved us from arguing with the construction company about the billing after the reconstruction was completed and handled everything to our satisfaction.
