We found the Iron Gate Hotel and Suites on an app and were so pleasantly surprised. From our late arrival to our early departure five days later the staff and facilities were excellent. The receptionists were friendly and responsive to our questions and needs, always friendly. We had breakfast and dinner from the main menu as well as the breakfast included with our room. The ala carte breakfast was delicious. I had eggs with deer sausage (as did my son) and my wife had the British breakfast with sausage. We all enjoyed it. The OJ was fresh-squeezed and the coffee was just right. The buffet-style breakfast was tasty with a good selection of eggs, breakfast meats (bacon, salami, ham, etc.), oatmeal, fresh fruits, juices, coffee, and pastries. The staff were courteous and attentive. The hotel has a great location, inside the Old Town district (so taxis and Ubers cannot drive you to the front door). The hotel internet was reliable. Overall, a great stay in one of the most desirable locations. The price was spot on for this level of hotel. We will return.
I booked a hotel through booking, they checked me in, then they called from the reception and said that booking canceled our booking, I contacted booking, booking confirmed that the booking was confirmed by them and they received payment. When checking out, the hotel forced me to pay an amount higher than that provided by the booking, after I contacted the booking and they said that the hotel canceled the reservation due to the fact that they could not check me in, although I lived in this hotel all these days. After I left the hotel tried to deduct money from my card, it’s good that I foresaw this, and blocked the card in advance after I saw the boorish attitude of their superiors and staff at the reception. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel, you will only get negative emotions and feel cheated.
