We had to paint a rental apartment. I called around to different painters, who just threw out a price by phone. Twins Painting Company wanted to see the apartment before they would give a price. I also showed that it was not “just” a job of painting, as there was major damage to the felt on the walls that needed to be repaired. During the presentation, Tvins asked if there was any information about what types of paint were used during the construction of the building, and we did. I went by the apartment today, and it is exactly as it was when it was newly built 7 years ago. Since I am a craftsman myself, it means a lot that Tvins Painting Company shows up before bidding on the job, and that they familiarize themselves with what types of paint have been used in advance. Repairing damage to wall felt is really nicely done. There is no trace of the damage! We had a good simple exchange of dates and various practical information for the job by text message.
