We have had a kitchen for 3 years now from JKE Design Aarhus and we are quite satisfied with the kitchen itself. Their customer service after payment is quite unimpressive, however. We bought both the kitchen, white goods and installation from JKE in Aarhus. After 3 years, the refrigerator door starts to hang. A fitter is quickly sent out to fix it, who said that sometimes it happened that they tore loose from the body itself and then some more and some longer screws needed to be put in. Quite a nice experience that it was taken care of quickly. We then received an invoice shortly after, which I was somewhat incomprehensible to. First, we had not been informed that we had to pay in advance and also, in our eyes, it is crazy that a refrigerator door falls off after 3 years and that you as a customer have to pay to fix it yourself, when it was installed by their own fitters. I have now had a long correspondence with the owner and have actually tried to be quite accommodating, as I first thought that it must have been a misunderstanding that he meant we had to pay and that it was not a warranty issue. However, he is neither to be hit nor stabbed. I quote his last email: "The fault is due to you having opened the refrigerator door more than is appropriate, so the hinge of the refrigerator has been twisted and thereby pushes the screw loose from the body. We often see this on sink cabinets where the door hinges are also twisted free because you open the cabinet door too much and do not hold the counter. I will ask you to pay your outstanding balance, please." So it is because we are too fond of food and open our refrigerator too often and too eagerly... If you can live with having to hold the counter when you open your refrigerator and otherwise have to pay for your reprehensible behavior yourself, then I can actually highly recommend JKE - apart from the mess with the refrigerator, we are happy and satisfied. If you think a kitchen should be able to last more than 3 years before it falls apart, and that it should be a warranty issue if it happens against expectations, then go somewhere else. 2 stars are given because their installer is a really nice and skilled guy and because the kitchen is otherwise quite nice. However, the customer service means that we will never use them again.

The salesperson was more busy telling us how good the store was than listening to our wishes.

I had been promised a display wardrobe. When I went to pick it up the next day, they had sold it to someone else. Too bad was their only message.

Really nice show shop. It can be dangerous to go in there as you get inspired easily 😉
