Year of creation: 1967 Authors: Olav Männi, architect Udo Ivask Not a protected cultural monument. "After the monument's completion, it immediately took on a life of its own in local folklore. The working version was called "Shoulder to Shoulder," but on the recommendation of the city party committee, it was renamed "Glory to Labor." As often happens, such pompous and slogan-laden names didn't catch on with the local population, and the monument was soon dubbed "Two Sober Miners," or simply "Two Sobers." Rumor had it that they were the only miners in Kohtla-Järve who remained sober after receiving their paychecks.
Best place for events, or to sit and chill out.
The place where many years ago the city's residents laid a time capsule for future descendants, with a letter: "I am very upset that communism did not come."
Ok.
