The staff is polite and will always help and give advice.
A clean city with plenty of green spaces and fantastic bike paths. There's no sense of insecurity around the housing projects like in France. People drive very nice, often recent, cars. The chemical plants are sometimes noticeable by their smell, but that's what makes the city wealthy and provides jobs.
Although it is a Russian-speaking city and city government, it has the best selection of Estonian-language books in the county (much better than the Jõhvi Central Library). The library staff are Russian, but when you ask in Estonian, you always get pleasant and fast service.
