Panel fasteners not anchored to rafters
Serious2 reviewers, 2025Two reviewers reported that solar panel mounting fasteners were installed without proper support to roof rafters, some left 'hanging in the air', causing fastener and roof tile breakage. One reviewer documented over 1.5 meters of unsupported profile on one roof slope.
Ask before you hire: Ask for photos of fastener installation and rafter attachment points from your roof inspection report.

The work was done very correctly and quickly. Professional and friendly team! If you had any questions, they explained them clearly and the transaction was quick. The goods are good and the prices are good, not at the expense of quality. I highly recommend and thank you!
Good guys , good job. Good prices
Update 28.09.2025: Today, the masters removed the panels from the roof and had to completely dismantle the entire system due to the extent of the damage. By now, a third of the fasteners have broken the roof covering. Some of the fasteners were not supported by the rafters, but simply hung in the air for appearance. Some of the plates were taped by MySolar employees to temporarily hide leaks. The step of the fasteners was not followed at all - even worse, on the right side, more than 1.5 meters of the profile was hanging in the air without support on the roof slope and as a result, the entire row of fasteners broke, along with the roof tiles breaking. This is a complete horror and a terrible defect. I am attaching photos, I was especially “delighted” by the roof tiles glued with tape. The roof tiles have their own fastening system to the rafters and in many places where the panel supports were installed, these hooks have been removed or broken. We didn't have enough spare tiles in the right color, we still need to order 20 more to replace the broken tiles Final 16.09.2025: Today we received compensation for the damage and will start repairing the roof ASAP. Despite the fact that there was an obvious mistake on the part of the company and we contacted them in May, MySolar dragged on until the end of September before responding to the claim. Now the roof needs to be repaired in the fall and between rainy weather, but it needs to be done quickly. An additional inspection showed a violation of the installation technology, due to which the leaks are getting worse and more and more. Currently, the panels are breaking the roof with their own weight. Negative experience with installing solar panels with MySolar About two years ago, I installed MySolar solar panels on a new house with a stone roof, with a total capacity of about 8 kW. The problems started already during installation: The workers broke some of the roof tiles. I had to order new stones at my own expense (they are only sold in trays and by special order) and pay for their installation. The broken stones were thrown into my household waste container. The next day, I received a fine from the garbage company, since construction waste cannot be thrown into household waste. Two days after turning on the inverter, it failed due to combustion. I had to call a specialist again to replace it. All this was unpleasant, but patiently bearable. However, two years after installation, we discovered water stains on the eaves where there should be no water. An inspection showed that there were three leaks under the panels, which, in the event of prolonged rain, wet the rafters and the water seeped into the eaves. Also, part of the batten was covered with black mold and needed to be removed and replaced. I contacted MySolar with a proposal: to partially remove the panels so that I could call a roofer. The company's response was that the warranty has expired for a month and a half, and now they agree to: Come to the site for a price of 50 euros; Remove the panels for a price of 30 euros each + VAT (total 20, or 744 EUR) Reinstall them later for another price of 750 euros. The cost of MySolar's work alone is about 1500-1600 euros, plus roof repairs, which are estimated to be about 5000 euros. Conclusion: I do not recommend this company. If the roof was damaged in three places, it was not noticed or reported, and the company refuses any responsibility, this is completely unacceptable. The company does not care about the quality of the work performed or the consequences for the customer. Find a more reliable partner. In this case, it is clearly the fault of the installers, who damaged the new roof in three places - this cannot be considered accidental. UPDATE! After publishing the review, the inverter went to the error message “network overvoltage”. All network parameters are fine according to Elektrilevi’s confirmations and the inverter’s readings, but the error suddenly appeared a few days after my review. I wanted to check the settings, but the inverter is protected by a PIN code. MySolar has not responded so far or reported what PIN code they set. In the web interface, my user does not have rights to view or change the inverter’s settings, but it seems that MySolar has set itself as an administrator and has such access.
Update 09/16/2025: Today we received compensation for the damage and will start repairing the roof ASAP. We did not have enough spare tiles in the right color, we still have to order 20 more to replace the broken ones. This review is an addition to my previous review about poor installation and damage to the roof. The expert examination identified numerous leaks in the places where the panels were fastened. At the moment, it is not possible to say exactly what caused them, but the master who inspected the roof thought that the fastening was installed incorrectly and broke the tiles below under the pressure of the snow. This is a response to MySolar regarding their false claim that we have not provided them with anything, which is untrue and misleading. At the moment, my lawyer has sent the photos, the expert report and the pre-trial claim to MySolar's official email address on September 6. We have not received a response, not even an acknowledgement of receipt.
The online order experience is bizarre. It's not possible to order 1 PV(10 is min) and the order was rejected. But you will know it a week later( if you ping them). Thanks for wasting my time guys, good job 🤣
