Manchesteris hilines meie tagasilend (SAS) Eestisse etteteavitamata umbes 1h võrra. Jäime selle tõttu maha oma ühendatud lennust Rootsis ja see asendati pea 7h hiljem väljuva lennuga, mis ei läinud otse Eestisse, vaid Lätti. Eelnevalt planeeritud Eestisse jõudmise aeg oli kell 16.00, asendatud lennuga jõudsime Tallinnasse alles kell 03.00. Hilinemise eest pakkus SAS meile mõlemale 15€ lennujaamas kulutamiseks. Kodumaal pöördusime SAS’i poole hüvitise saamiseks, millest keelduti. Kirjutasin lähedase soovitusel Flightclaimsile. The FlightClaims team exceeded all expectations! We were represented so successfully in the court proceedings that the compensation turned out to be a third higher than the price of the flight tickets themselves. Instead of the usual 28% service fee, we only paid 13.9%. To be more specific, the course of events was as follows: we went to a concert in England and on the way back, the SAS plane was late, and we ended up returning via Sweden and Latvia. Although SAS organized our return trip well, the day ended up being almost 12 hours longer, and so we thought we would check if we could get compensation. The airline did not respond to the claim made on the SAS website, so we contacted FlightClaims, who responded very quickly and the correspondence was pleasantly warm. We sent all the documents related to the flight and signed the right of representation, and that was it for us. At one point, the matter had already been forgotten when positive news came from FlightClaims with a better-than-expected result.
