Our locks were simply at the end of their useful life, we already knew that from the start, but in the end one of the exterior doors was "stuck", literally. Doors and locks are of course essential for us in terms of the smooth running of everyday life, so when we called Lock Service, we tried to get an installer "asap". Well, asap would apparently be partly by chance, even the same morning, as long as the installer could finish his morning coffee. We got it quickly, because this "Matti" called 15 minutes later and said he was already on his way; he just asked to confirm the serial numbers of the locks just to be sure. They were checked, he had the right spare parts with him and the man was there as expected, even a little early. The work took the time agreed upon, the cost estimate was accurate to within €10 when the invoice arrived and the doors worked better than new ones. If only everything were always this easy.

I looked online and found that Abloy LC100 costs 58-65 euros in most stores. Espoon Lukkohuolto Oy is the closest to us but they didn't have prices or availability information online, but I went there anyway to get this. They had it on the shelf but the price was 109 euros and when I wondered about this, they have a lot of expenses so they can't sell it cheaper, although the seller (apparently the owner) hesitated to suggest 90 euros to which I said that I would wait a week and order it from somewhere else for 58 euros. Then I also remembered the question about the Abloy lock in our cottage, but the seller immediately pointed out that there is no customer service since I didn't buy it from them (cheap LC100 lock body). I guess there is also a small sale with this tactic because they have to double the prices. Expensive and rude, stay away from this. Addition after the editor's answer: there was only drama on the Espoo Lock Maintenance side: this "installer" who worked at the counter doing customer service work at the end of my visit laughed that now you asked these questions in the wrong order so I won't answer you anymore (since you didn't buy an expensive item), so it wasn't that the "installer" didn't have time.
