I spent one month in Nice before returning to the US and purchased a one month membership. The equipment was excellent, extensive, functioned well and clean. I always had access to the bike/velo as well as the stair climber. Staff was available , cordial and helpful.
I went to know the place. The girl there apparently didn’t want to work cause she was not polite and she saw was an before even start a conversation was already complaining with a member to have to attend people that speak English. In campus Sophia? Come on! I speak french too but even then i thought rude and still a crime! Plus the strong smell is terrible! Seems like they don’t clean the gym since years ago and don’t have ventilation. I felt nauseous and dizzy.
I live in LA, and every time I visit Nice, the first thing I do is get a membership at this gym. Friendly workers, great equipment, and it’s convenient.
I would love to give this gym a higher rating however i was refused access. For context: I’m a personal trainer working from the US and Paris and on vacation in Nice I have been a member of fitness park for years. The reason for refusal: I’m on vacation and didn’t bring a towel. In the most patronizing way possible, Mahrez, the front desk staff, decided that he would enforce this rule on me. Now given the context above, I’ve worked in NUMEROUS gyms and have visited just about 20ish fitness parks. NEVER and i mean NEVER have i ever had an issue with forgetting a towel. Might i add that 2 people walked in while i was pleading with Mahrez visibly with a tiny bag and clearly without a towel. Didn’t bat an eye because i was the target for his power trip. I could also see CLEARLY into the gym multiple people without towels. Now obviously it happens to everyone to forget a towel, but exceptions to the rule cannot be made to some and not all. The tone of Mahrez was EXTREMELY condescending as if i was committing the worst of crimes in having simply forgotten a towel. If you’re visiting from abroad, bring a damn towel because Mahrez will take IMMENSE pleasure in refusing you entry. If you manage to bring a towel, be ready to fork up 20€ day pass for a mediocre gym chain. Terrible customer service, genuinely appalled.
