I’ve been a member for 10 years now, and I can proudly say that this is truly one of the best gyms out there. It has a wide range of equipment, and they take excellent care of it. When a treadmill is broken, they miraculously fix it the next day. Some of the members I’ve met here are also some of the friendliest people out there. The gym is rarely crowded and is kept very clean. The staff is very friendly, especially the one guy with the American accent who always works in the mornings. I highly recommend this gym to others; you can’t go wrong with John Reed Kreuzberg! :)
Perfect local gym in Kreuzberg with a great community, easy access and high quality equipment. The staff are extremely helpful and the environment is welcoming. Highly recommend!
Recently joined the gym and I’m super happy with the gym! Loads of equipment as you can imagine it gets busy in this area but the people are friendly enough to jump In an out and train together!!
It takes some getting used to it 😂 but overall I like this gym very much, it has grown on me. Several people have already pointed out the necessary improvements that should be done, so I'll pass over them. Overall it is a very relaxed environment, people are friendly and chill, and if your focus is to work out, it gets the job done. Also, I love the sofas. Cost/benefit is unbeatable.
It’s a spacious gym, and that’s about it for positives. There are literally like three showers for a hundred lockers, so better just plan to shower at home. Plus they keep asking you (over the radio) to put your weights away after you exercise but you can easily assume almost no one does it. Just include carrying someone else’s weights to the rack into your gym routine, I guess. Also, you can forget about disinfecting the equipment as there are like two disinfectants for the entire two level gym. There is not a single one in the whole area to the right of the entrance and there’s like 40 machines in there. Not to mention how many people still exercise without a towel. But hey, it’s not too expensive, and they have a lot of machines and stuff. Just really all over the place, as people carry even the barbells god knows where and then you spend 10 minutes looking for your weight. Still likely the best value for money in Berlin which says a lot.
