Context - I'm new to Germany for work. Experience - I had a English-language video call with someone called Matthias Heil who was both very friendly, knowledgeable, and had great English. He was very honest and with seemingly no specific agenda (I assumed there would be a huge incentive to just push their private partners). The conversation was fun, casual, and informative. For any future insurance questions I will 100% be reaching back out to Matthias.

I spoke with Matthias Heil when I was considering private health insurance. I would definitely recommend him to anyone considering a similar move. He is kind, knowledgeable and very good at explaining differences between different insurance options. His English is on a very high level, which is helpful if you are an expat who is still learning German. 10/10 experience!

My wife and I recently moved from Florida to Berlin to enjoy our retirement only to find out that it was virtually impossible to join the public health insurance system in Germany, our applications had been turned down multiple times. We resigned ourselves to the fact that we had to join a much more expensive private health insurance. This is where Matthias Heil from Hoesch & Partner GmbH came in: he spoke excellent English, listened carefully to our personal scenarios and came to the unfortunate conclusion, that we were uninsurable through private health insurers because of a single prescription medication. As a result, Hoesch & Partner had no insurance product they could offer us and with that the consultation would come to an end, we expected. But not so with Matthias Heil! He took the extra initiative of laying out the remaining insurance option for us (it was depressive!) and giving us possible resources and contacts for us to seek further help. It was a Hail Mary but one of these resources was able to turn our hopeless situation into the best result we could have possibly hoped for: we were able to join German public health insurance system at standard rates. Needless to say, we are eternally grateful to Matthias Heil for his knowledgeable, patient and selfless advice.

I had a great experience working with Mr Matthias Heil from Hoesch & Partner. He was extremely professional and at the same time very down to earth, which made the whole process much less stressful. Communication was smooth and easy, especially in English, and he always explained things clearly without any unnecessary jargon. What I appreciated most was that he never came across as pushy or sales-driven — quite the opposite. He focused on understanding my situation and finding the best solution for me.
