Replacing the carriage of my tilt-and-turn door was quoted at over €4,000. They advertise that repairing a door is worthwhile?! I could have several new doors installed for that price. Completely unethical in my opinion. So, the cost of the on-site appointment to assess the situation is a waste of money.

I hired the Appel company to perform window maintenance. They verbally quoted me €39 per window. An email, which didn't even include the company's address or phone number, contained an attached quote. However, it wasn't mentioned, so I missed it. We only scheduled an appointment. Afterwards, I received a bill for €700 for less than an hour's work by two people. This is extortionate; I will have a lawyer review it. Furthermore, I had called the company in Maintal, which is just around the corner. The bill was sent from Frankfurt. They charged €150 just for the call-out fee. Outrageous!
My house window was badly demaged by the thieves. Mr. Appel and his colleage came and repaired it quickly with expert skill. Their attitude was friendly and gave me some anti-thefe advice. I hope they can continue to repaire my door and window completely.
