Paint & Brush - Farrow & Ball To-Go Sales & Showroom

I love this paint store. They have fantastic paints and so many other beautiful products for interior design, like wallpaper, fabrics, and much more. I especially recommend the clay paints. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable.

A fantastically curated paint store with a superb selection that goes far beyond just paint. And most importantly: top-notch advice from staff who are also incredibly friendly. The best specialist shop in Hamburg, nay, in all of Northern Germany.

We bought paint and wallpaper for our old apartment at this store, partly to support local businesses. During our last visit, we saw a book. The price was listed on the back cover (12 euros, as it says everywhere online, including directly on Littlegreene's website). At home—we thought the paint had gotten expensive, but oh well—we discovered that we had been charged 35 euros for the book. We sent a written inquiry asking how the 192 percent markup was calculated, but received no response. We'll just order online after all. What a shame.

The expert advice from Paint & Brush was more than worthwhile – a few weeks ago regarding furniture varnish, and now regarding clay paint for wood paneling! The clay paint was mixed quickly, was super easy to apply, had fantastic coverage, and now creates an incredibly pleasant indoor climate. We are thrilled and can highly recommend Paint & Brush.

I'm unfortunately not satisfied with the Farrow & Ball paint. It took a total of four coats (including primer) for complete coverage. Furthermore, the paint is quite sticky, which is awkward when removing the painter's tape, as you first have to go along all the edges with a utility knife. I've used paints from other manufacturers (which were significantly cheaper), even on walls in this apartment, and had no problems with them. Therefore, I cannot recommend it.
