I LOVE HOME – Interior Redesign & Home Staging

My husband and I had the opportunity to view a property staged by Anke. What immediately struck us was how harmonious everything felt. My husband later said that he felt "at home" as soon as he walked in – and I felt the same way. For me, this perfectly illustrates the power of home staging. I was particularly impressed that Anke doesn't design spaces according to a fixed formula. She considers each property individually: How does the light fall? How do people move through the rooms? What impression is created upon entering and during a viewing? She develops her concept precisely from these observations. This is what makes her work so special for me. Anke doesn't simply follow current trends, but finds her own unique style for each property. Sometimes she works with calm, understated colors, sometimes she deliberately combines different styles or adds bold accents – always with the goal of highlighting the property's character. I never felt that anything was merely decorated. Everything seemed to have a purpose and came together to create a cohesive overall picture. You can tell that this isn't a one-size-fits-all approach, but rather one that resonates with a deep understanding of spaces, atmosphere, and the impact on people. Home staging is far more than simply furnishing rooms. It's about revealing a property's potential and creating an atmosphere where people can imagine themselves living. That's precisely what Anke achieves with her work.

Her eye for detail and design is beyond question. What impressed me even more was the energy she brought to the whole project through her personality and her extraordinary network. Disposal of old belongings, renovation, redecorating with truly unique interiors, a photoshoot with a fantastic photographer. Four weeks later, I was able to list the house online. The inquiries came in incredibly quickly, and the feedback from the viewings was consistently positive. I even had some inquiries just for the designer from people who weren't interested in buying the house at all. I was skeptical at first, but the result completely won me over, and I certainly won't sell anything again without Anke Lachmuth...

I had the pleasure of working with Anke Lachmuth of I love Home on a major project in Heidelberg, designing a model apartment. The project involved furnishing two residential buildings with an additional 38 furnished apartments. Anke was competing against none other than IKEA Germany – and with a limited budget, extensive expertise, and impressive dedication, she managed to win the competition.
