I lived at Lumis Leipzig, managed by Wentzel Dr. It has been nearly 8 months since I moved out, and my deposit has still not been returned. Multiple emails have gone completely unanswered. This is absolutely unacceptable. I have now been forced to pursue legal action to recover my own money. Avoid at all costs.

This has been one of the most frustrating experiences we have ever had with a property management company. We live in a building managed by Wentzel Dr., and the level of service is simply unacceptable. Emails are ignored for weeks, and phone calls lead nowhere. The explanation we received when we finally went to their office in person was that they receive too many emails and cannot keep up with them. This is not a valid excuse, responding to tenants is literally part of the job they are paid to do. In our case, we had to physically travel to their office just to get answers and to have a missing key ordered, after numerous emails and calls were completely ignored. This level of disregard for tenants shows a lack of basic respect. The person responsible for our building is Ms. Selina Lender, yet getting any response from the management has been extremely difficult. There are also several serious maintenance issues in the building that continue to be ignored: The elevator is constantly malfunctioning. Recently it has become genuinely frightening to use – it feels as if it suddenly drops and then stops very abruptly. Several tenants have reported this for more than a week, yet nothing is being done. This feels like a serious safety concern. In the underground parking garage, the drainage is blocked and large puddles of standing water are forming. The water has started to smell because the drains are not being maintained. The exit from the parking garage is also dangerous, because parked cars block the line of sight when exiting. This issue has also been reported, but the management has done nothing to address it. We actually like the apartment itself, but the maintenance and management of the building are extremely poor. Property owners should be aware of how their properties are being managed. At this point, the lack of service and the ongoing issues are the main reason we are seriously considering leaving the apartment. For a large property management company, this level of neglect is simply unacceptable.
