The real estate agent was very kind, but it was a recurring pattern that after an inquiry or even an email offer, we didn't get a response until we called them. After we sent an offer in email, we didn't get a response for 10 days, 5 days later I sent a follow up email to get a response, still nothing for 5 more days, and when we finally called them, they said that yes, they have received the offer but there was another application that they evaluated. I still find it unprofessional to not respond to a candidate when serious money is involved, why do we need to call just to get a response finally? It is weird to get ghosted by an real estate agency at this level.
