When buying a property in another country, there are many major sources of anxiety or risk: Different laws, culture, language and taxes are just 4 of these sources. When one has an honest, empathetic group of professionals who can give accurate advice, the transaction becomes less risky and more enjoyable. We found Maria through a series of websites where there was a common theme - Reviewers praised Maria and George (husband and wife since high school, broker and GC, respectively) for giving them great advice and assistance even after the sale, treating them as close friends. We were immediately impressed at how Maria asked us qualifying questions, listened to our answers, then suggested 3 properties that met our needs as well as our budget (meaning she didn’t show us properties outside our budget as most brokers do). They were all awesome, but when we saw one beautiful villa on the water, we just said sold-the price, location, access, view, and layout were exactly what we sought. That was the beginning, not the end, of the transaction. Maria took on the project of assisting us with the renovation of the unit purchased from her. The result: our villa was truly unrecognizable from the villa we purchased. Maria and George, during the complete renovation, were ALWAYS available. They responded to us-giving us photos and videos as work was being done while we were in the US, as well as arranging WhatsApp calls when asked.
