This gym is beautiful, super clean, well located in a gorgeous setting. When I walked in it felt that I had walked into a beautiful hotel lounge. Christine at the front desk was a joy and extremely helpful. We visited the gym a few times and even stayed in Akureyri a few extra days because it was our favorite gym in Iceland ❤️
The views were phenomenal. Can’t say I’ve been to the gym with better views. I’m also from the deserts of Arizona. It’s probably my American perspective, but the gym‘s facilities were great. But I think they seriously lacked weight. But maybe being jacked is an American thing apparently. For what it cost for a day pass, I was hoping to get a better workout. All in all I was on vacation and it was worth it. I’d recommend for the view alone.
Was in this gym while travelling in Iceland Nov 2022. Generally unfriendly staff and floor manager was very nasty because I was unaware of gym regulations as a foreigner. Not worth the day pass for the way I was treated. so nasty, I crashed my rental car as I was quite upset by the attitude. Regret buying their souvenir too. Coming direct from NYC as a Singaporean, Iceland in terms of interaction was a very cold experience. The gym equipment is not great either. Quite basic, looks good and pretentious but with beautiful scenery like the rest of Iceland. Poor service standards - not world class at all. The views were glorious, that’s it.
Nothing to add. There is everything you need at the fully equipped gym.
