Such a fun place! I came here while visiting Iceland from the US and they had so many machines and equipment. I wasn't expecting that at first because I did not think there was anything in Iceland but I was pleasantly surprised! I'll be back!
Very good gym! This gym is over 2 levels , the ground level has the changing rooms and studios for cycling and crossfit / functional training areas. This main floor has multiple equipment , free weights , cardio machines . Enough Olympics bars and squad racks. There is outside area on same level as main floor with a functional training rack . The gym in connected to a large outdoor swimming pool. Lockers ( bring own padlock) and showers available. day passes available.
If you're looking for a travel workout this is a great gym. Has more machines than my gym back in the states does! They offer day passes and are right next to a geothermal public pool that you must go to!
I enjoy visiting their gym and with the access to the famous Akureyri swimming pool. Their changing room should be labelled more clearly not just a symbol. It is not well arranged but everything is functioning. The gym is not the fancy place you are looking for but definitely it will give you workout that you needed. Definitely recommended.
Excellent gym! Not bad for price...many classes to choose from. The swimming pool is connected and free to enter from gym.(what a deal!) The staff is excellent and friendly. They close 8p on Friday and 9p on the oral weekdays so remember that! Highly recommend.
