We went on an aurora tour with Börkur in February. Unfortunately, it was very cloudy that day, so although we could see some, they weren't as spectacular as we had hoped. The next day, we were offered the chance to repeat the tour, which we gladly accepted. Gísli was our guide that evening and impressed us with his enthusiasm (even though the Northern Lights are normal for you). That evening, the sky was a little clearer and we managed to catch a glimpse of a few lights. I'm adding a photo from Akureyri that was taken outside of a tour, but which I really like. We really enjoyed the tour, there were lots of explanations and hot cocoa to warm us up. Thank you!

We had an amazing city tour of Akureyri and we're able to try some of the local food spots. Our guide, Runar, was very knowledgeable on local and Icelandic history and made the tour very enjoyable. They were also very accommodating food wise as I am vegetarian and I was concerned about this prior but it was no problem and all the food was delicious. I'd definitely recommend this tour to people that are new to Akureyri.

Asa was a most excellent tour guide going above and beyond in the 2 tours we actually had with her, we did both the northern light tour and godafoss waterfall. Stopping at the new geothermal area outside akureyri on the way back as an added bonus.

This was a simple, quick, and yet well organised visit to the major sight close to Akeueri, the Godafoss waterfall. Godafoss is one of the easiest waterfalls to see in Iceland, with a long paved path all the way from the parking lot to the falls. There’s numerous places to see the falls along the way, with the best spots right in front, and just above the falls. There’s a trickier set of stairs that takes you to the base of the falls, from where you need to clamber over rocks and gravel to get the photo, while dodging people coming the opposite way. At the parking lots there’s a souvenir stall/cafe and a separate cafe each serving tea, coffee, cold drinks and light meals. The driver had a great sense of humour, gave out superb information, dropped us close to the falls with good instructions about how to walk there and find the bus on return, and the tour included a free coffee and donut at the nearby cafe (which also meant no queuing for toilets). We were back at the ship in just a few hours delighted at how quick and easy this was to see such an impressive sight.

We went on the Godafoss waterfall and Lake Myvatn area tour organised with Venture Ashore. This was an amazing g trip and each section of the tour was very different. An incredible landscape. Irpt was colder than usual when we went burnt fortunately we weren’t plagued by midges. Our guide was a lad from Madrid. He was an excellent guide with a great sense of humour who ensured we got the best from the trip.
