Not a very helpful real estate office. After you agree to buy the house, it feels like they stop caring. Communication was poor, and some staff were rude when I asked questions. I often felt that things were not explained clearly, and I am not sure if this was because of the attitude or because I do not speak Icelandic very well. Overall, the experience after the agreement was disappointing.

I bought through Eignamidðuln and I do not recommend them at all. My interests, as a buyer, were clearly not taken care of. There was a dispute regarding the radiators that were not in order upon delivery and I was completely sidelined. I would have liked to have had a real estate agent on my side who did not sit on both sides of the table. This is of course a flaw in the system in Iceland, but Eignamidðuln showed that it is not capable of mediating in a fair manner. Will never do business with them again.

Okay, it was really important that the documents go to the right parties (the sheriff, and the credit bureau)

I absolutely do NOT recommend this real estate agent. The sales description had been changed without getting confirmation from the seller. This led to a lot of problems between the seller and the buyer afterwards. They "forgot" to report a leak from cracks in the wall. The process was nothing but a hassle. The real estate agent wanted to get rid of the apartment as soon as possible and did his job very poorly.
