They were overall just okay. I bought my first apartment with them (though it was not my partner’s first apartment), and we barely got a congratulations. Not personable. I know Lind gives a 30% discount card and goes as far to contact the builder for any changes you want to make. With Ás I got nothing, just the bill and my paperwork, and the realtors passed us around from person to person in the agency. I will definitely not consider Ás in the future when I know other real estate agencies are going a lot further to take care of their customers (I mean, they do get commission from selling a place— even a little cheap bottle of champagne would be nice).

Be careful not to fall into this! Caution! : Real Estate Agency ÀS Hafnarfjörður As some know, Ester and I were seriously screwed in real estate transactions in Hafnarfjörður. We bought a house in Burknavéllir in 2008 as a ready-made house. About 5 years later, due to defects, we found out that the house is not ready-made, but rather the house is in a state of disrepair. We spoke to Real Estate Agency ÁS in Hafnarfjörður to get an explanation. It ends with the real estate agent Eiríkur Svanur Sigfússon testifying before the Reykjanes District Court on March 7, 2012 that he "believed" that the house was a ready-made house that he sold us. 2 days ago I found out that Realtor Eiríkur Svanur Sigfússon and the seller of our house, Björn Þorfinnsson are BEST FRIENDS which now explains why we were so badly screwed. The house was built completely without supervision and a defect in the house has caused Ester and I to lose our lease and more. Mold in the house which has led to very serious illnesses in the family. Here is a picture of friends Eiríkur and Björn grinning while having a good time on a ski trip abroad, 4 days ago... It's amazing how these crooks play with the property and health of others. The building inspector of Hafnarfjörður had no LEGAL supervision of the construction of the house which was the reason that there is now about 45 million ISK in damage to the house. Hafnarfjörður town denies liability. The building permit holder for the house is the seller Björn Þorfinnsson, who appears to have not allowed any skilled tradesmen into the house, in order to save money and make the most profit from this house.
