The room I stayed in was ok but one of our party had the misfortune of being on the 2nd floor, this floor suffers as being above the gym it is extremely noisy early in the morning with loud music and the sound of the weights and machines. The location is good (can't recommend the bakery over the road enough, we'll worth a visit) and the views are outstanding. But the biggest issue is the fire alarm, 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed the alarm went off. This appears to be down to someone cooking or smoking in there rooms but anyone seems to be able to turn the alarm off downstairs, there is a key in the alarm and instructions on how to, this seems to be ok until there is a fire then who knows.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding stay – highly recommended in Iceland! Our stay at Blue Mountain Apartments by Heimaleiga was truly exceptional. From the very first contact until departure, everything was perfectly organized. The team is incredibly flexible, caring and responsive. They reply very quickly to questions and requests and genuinely go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. This made us feel very welcome and well looked after. The apartment was spotless, well maintained and very hygienic. Everything felt fresh and clean. During our stay the beds were even made up again and fresh towels were provided, which felt like a real luxury. Extra towels and even toilet paper are freely available in a cabinet in the hallway, which is such a thoughtful and practical touch. The self check-in with a door code worked perfectly — no hassle with keys and you can arrive whenever it suits you. The location is very convenient: quiet, yet practically located, with a supermarket only a 5-minute walk away. And the view… absolutely breathtaking. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights right from the apartment window, which made our stay truly unforgettable. Last but not least, the people behind this accommodation are extremely friendly, helpful and professional. You really feel like a valued guest, not just a booking number. We would book this place again without hesitation and can wholeheartedly recommend Blue Mountain Apartments by Heimaleiga to anyone visiting Iceland. A truly wonderful place to stay. 🌌🇮🇸

It is a building for tourist apartments only. The entrance is with a key and there is no one at the reception or working there. The first thing you notice is that the building is filthy dirty and it is normal, because in 5 days I did not see anyone cleaning the facilities. All the walls are beaten and with holes There is a washer and dryer station but they were in terrible condition and very dirty. There were dirt balls all over the hallways that no one removed in 5 days. The apartment was very spacious and would have been wonderful if it had been clean and cared for. The walls were missing pieces from bumps, the parquet was swollen from some flooding, the floor was very dirty. The chairs were dirty and full of food. The sofa was dirty and stained. Area with lots and lots of traffic and noise so you can't open the windows. Small bathroom and the shower was moldy.

Unfotunately, this was not our best experience. We arrived at 1500 for our check in and were greeted with a room that was disgusting. It smelled like a frat house and it had not been touched by the cleaners. When I called the line provided they informed me they were told earlier in the day about the delay. This would not have been an issue if they had relayed that information to us, but they had not. They also refused to make any accomodations other than getting the cleaners in to clean the apartment ASAP, and we could leave our luggage in the apartment while they cleaned. We had to sit on the steps/lobby to wait for the cleaners to get the apartment ready. The cleaners did an amazing job, but this took over two hours to complete. By this time we had been going on no sleep for close to 20 hours. As stated earlier in the review, if they had notified us when they knew it wouldn't be ready we could have made some arrangements that did not involve sitting on the steps in the building.

Stayed in a corner studio apartment. Quite cozy and had an awesome view of a lake. The bed and sofa sleeper were comfy and there was a lot of storage space. Had a nice kitchenette, stove, oven, fridge, and microwave. Plenty of parking. The staff were friendly and helpful when I reached out. Highly recommend! I will be stating here when I come visit again!
