KEF International Airport in Iceland is a breeze to exit and a breeze to enter. Taking the flybus to transfer to Reykjavik can be bought onsite if arriving and busses leave all of the time. Passport control was relatively quick even with a good line was only 20 minutes. Lots of gift shops and food places, well enough food places as the airport is not super big. Never found the water bottle refill although I'm sure it was in there. Cool artwork inside and outside. The rainbow sculpture is my absolute favorite because thats a real thing in Iceland given all of the cloud cover most days.

The airport isn’t very big, but everything was pretty easy to navigate. If you’re arriving in Keflavík International Airport, definitely consider buying alcohol at duty free before leaving the airport, because buying alcohol in the city is surprisingly inconvenient and much more limited.

Nice small airport, playing as the gateway for entering and exiting Iceland, with many working stations, restaurants and shoppings. The airport is generally, clean, and easy to navigate. Howeverm boarding was messy as flights' queuing line cut each others, and staff checked passengers' passports thousands times.

While KEF is a beautiful airport, the procedures are ridiculous. You’re forced to take out your makeup/toiletry bag and put it into a tiny zip-lock that their agents hand you—and they only give one. If you’re lucky, you might get a second. I watched a woman have to dump her makeup because it didn’t fit. Brutal. Then you have to remove laptops and iPads, put everything into separate bins, and of course they all go through at different times—basically setting you up to forget something. Add in the constant re-screening if you set off alarms, and now your belongings are just floating around unsecured. That’s an unnecessary risk. The whole process is slow, inefficient, and honestly dumb. It desperately needs to be streamlined if they want to move people through faster. And then—after all that—you’re sent into the terminal with no gate number until 10–20 minutes before boarding. So you’re just wandering around knowing your fate but not your gate. That’s another easy way for someone—especially first-time visitors—to miss their flight. Visiting Iceland was amazing, zero complaints… until leaving. Do better, KEF.

Arrivals and departures was a breeze with barely any queues in both security and passport control but I think the time of year being off peak contributed to it. Asides from that the airport was clean with modern facilities to ensure a seamless transit. Airport transfer was also very convenient with Flybus at the arrivals and departures.
