Beautiful mural by Ásgerður Búadóttir. The theme of the work is the seafaring of the people of Suðurnes through the ages. In the work you can see fish and boats, the work is cast into the wall and then painted in fun colors. Previously, the wall was white and people did not agree whether the work was better enjoyed surrounded by white or Sigvalda blue. Ásgerður is best known for her woven murals, her works can be found in many public buildings. So wonderful that this work of hers here in Njarðvík is outdoors and everyone can enjoy it.
