A strong experience overall, thanks largely to Rafal and Sarah, who were amazing — attentive, responsive, and easy to work with. The vehicle provided was newer, in good condition and very clean. We did encounter a mechanical failure during the trip, but it was handled impressively: McRent responded quickly and supplied a replacement motorhome of the same characteristics and condition, keeping us on the road. Things can go wrong with any vehicle; what matters is how a company responds — and here they responded well and fairly. Tip for fellow travelers: purchase all insurance you can get, the roads in Iceland can be challenging and do a thorough walk-around and photos at pickup, as you would with any rental. Would recommend this team.

The staff and the owner are really exceptional and proved to care a lot about our comfort. From the seamless pick-up to the hassle-free drop-off, and communication in-between - everything was spot on. Materials prepared (maps, cards for discount on the fuel, info about places to visit, and where to check for road and weather conditions, literally everything) and nicely packaged. Friendly and helpful staff made us feel right at home, even in a motorhome. The vehicle was in excellent condition, making our family adventure smooth and enjoyable. I am more than pleased with our rental experience driving the Ring Road in Iceland. These folks are pros and exceeded expectations: We were picked up from the airport= no issues. Ran through the paperwork = great explanations. Text and email notifications for high winds= was helpful information. Travel tips on our route = was really good to know. Drop off and return trip to airport = no delays. Our RV performed perfectly as well, even though we encountered steep hills and some bumpy roads. Finally, we were pleasantly surprised with the fuel economy. I am so pleased. We owe a big Thank You to Peter and staff.
