Open 24 hours. We were able to get milk for coffee an yogurt for breakfast in the morning a quick walk from our lodging.

Clean and organized. Well stocked with basics and I had a good interaction with the staff.

My first stop out of the airport to grab a few things to start my journey. Flight arrived very early and this place is 24 hours. Ms Katerine (I don't know if I spelled that right) the manager was the first person I met in Iceland and was a pure pleasure! I could not read all of the language on labels and asked her for help. She was very kind in showing me where to find what I was looking for and what the difference was in certain items. I asked her for a few restaurant recommendations and she gave me a few good spots! She set the standard for kindness at the beginning of my trip. I was happy to find that everyone I met in Iceland was super kind & friendly. So I wanted to leave a review for this market and say "Thank You" OH and the Chocolate Milk is insanely delicious! Thank You ROD N.Y. P.S. their Cool Ranch Doritos are called "Cool American Flavor" haha I got a good laugh out of that!

Store itself very well equipped and very helpful specially at late hours. However service very poor and rude!I just visited the store to buy myself light beer, after 2 minutes of waiting cashier came along and in rude way asked if I don't know how to use self register complaining that he have only 5min break for cigarette every 2 hours. Despite the fact that usually at self register cashier must approve buy any alcohol even light (so he would need to come to me anyway)comments like that are very inappropriate. I'm the customer and it's my choice which register I will decide to go to. How many breaks people who work there is certainly not customers concern....on top of that he told me that boss will be there next day until 4pm so I can come talk to him myself. Someone who's in charge of this store should talk to that man and explain him the basics rules of customer service because this behavior is absolutely unacceptable Bottom line me waiting for him to finish his cigarette is not the problem, speaking to me like that from the other hand is.

The Extra store replaced the old 1011 store, and both 1011 and now Extra have very high prices. Probably the highest of all the stores in Iceland. The plus certainly is that the Extra store is open 24 hours a day and you can always shop there. The assortment is quite wide, which covers the most important needs. Free parking on the street just below the store and on the property on the side of the building.
