CF Reykjavik is world famous and the box lives up to its reputation - the gym itself is 3-4x the size of most other boxes and it's ridiculously well equipped. I would definitely recommend a drop in if you're traveling in Iceland!

The dedication to quality and community is second to none!
I went to a Monday noon class — full gym in all the separate sections. Beautiful and huge facility with tons of equipment and cardio machines. Happily, a super high quality real CrossFit experience! Coach was attentive and coached and cued throughout the workout of about 30 athletes. Fortunately, there were a handful of other English-speaking drop-ins, so we got clarification of the movements and workout before it all began. After the WOD, I enjoyed a delicious smoothie while relaxing in the infrared sauna and then hot tub. All around, 10/10 experience!
Top notch box for visitors to drop in at and visit where some of the top athletes in the world train. Huge facility that features showers as well. Workouts are written in Icelandic and the coaching was also in native language but the coach was happy to translate everything for me. The facility is a bit tucked away in the shopping center. Also found out they offer classes at the half hour in morning so was able to join a 6:30 am. Getting there can be a bit tricky without a car. If you’re feeling adventurous you can take an electric scooter from Reykjavik center like I did.
A drop-in at the early morning. The girl at the counter didn't say anything (she was eating) and pointed only to the payment terminal. The two coaches didn't greet me. The main coach hold the class in Icelandic and I had to ask several times the 2nd coach about what to do. They all seem a bit introverted. At least the team WOD with a guy from New York was fun. The WOD got offered in several scaled options. Unfortunately I felt that, after the WOD, the atmosphere was again impersonal: No high fives, no cheering, no fist bumps...none of the things that make CF so special. Nevertheless I will come back. Of course: outstanding equipment, an ultra large box and CF games athletes (I’ve seen BK Gudmundsson)
