The front desk staff is always helpful. They'll bypass the retinal scan when it fails, retrieve drop-shipped packages, or sell you an energy drink. I've never felt like a mark talking to an employee here, and I don't think they are incentivized to recruit new members. There are always staff cleaning the floors and there's never a shortage of towels or spray bottles- although very few guests actually use them. Wipe down equipment before use if you have sensitive skin. Operating Hours are fair. I look for 24hrs or at least nights on weekends, but other locations got you covered here. The locker rooms are as secure as any. It's all honor system. Most folks happily dump their sneakers by the door and leave their belongings stowed, but not locked. I consider this reckless, but It's not my problem. The weights and machines are noticeably beat-up considering the price of membership and the country you're in. I can't be polite here. Vinyl seats and grips peel, handlebars have caps that pop off, ropes rot and stink with mildew. Weights are missing numerals and digital displays read blank. All of the stuff works, but it doesn't all work well. Someone's gonna get hurt sooner or later. This place is a rudimentary dungeon that is expensively packaged and conveniently placed for the student/immigrant/tourist locale. I've been coming here for five years and will continue to until I am priced out by the quarterly fee increases. One more thing to whine about: People habitually leave nicotine pouches and empty soda cans on the floor here. I wind up having to pick up some other jerk's waste every other time I visit. I hope someday WorldClass has actual competition in this town.
Overall, a pretty good gym. However, I missed the fact that there was no belt available for adding weight, and also, if you’re just passing through, remember that you’ll need your own padlock. Otherwise, it’s a spacious and clean gym.
Great gym that’s incredibly spacious. Eleiko equipment for squats and deadlifts. Benches are a bit average and slippy Every single machine you could think of Price is quite high for day passes. There’s a sauna and infrared and plunge pool and 37 degree area. Recommend, it’s just expensive
Superb gym with loads of free weights and cardio and resistance focus machines. Great for tourists that workout around the world. Took the weekly pass which you can purchase online and once there, show them your e receipt and the staff on duty will register your eyes for future entry. All you need is to just use your eyes to access the automated turnstile. Highly recommended.
This is a great gym! It's only about a 20-25 minute walk from Reykjavík city center. Well equipped, large, clean, and with a younger crowd that actually trains. The staff was nice/accommodating, and they offer day/week passes. Wish this was my home gym.
