So far, would not book here next time. Apartment looks dark and creepy with rust around the window sills. Definitely an old apartment that got a “makeover” with a slap of paint. Bathroom window isn’t covered by blinds. Bed sheets smelled like cigarettes, but because it was so late already, we just squeezed into 1 bed. It was also super loud with no sound insulation, can hear loud and constant thumping followed by a long siren sound throughout the whole night, we didn’t sleep a bit single bit. Only good thing is the location. Parking is also decent, although you do have to pay about 1000ISk/night.

Place with Amazing location and that it. When we arrived they forgot send us a email with the door code so I have to contact them for it and the lady wasn't the most happy person in the world as " everything is in the email" which nobody sent to me :) The floor in the apartment was messy. Living room and bathroom floor was covered with white paint and was dusty. We didn't have enough of knifes and fork. Every single cup is cracked or chip. The heating work very well and the place was nice and hot all the time.

Property has been decorated and furnished purely for renting out. Not much in the way of care has actually been put into it. Seems as though they don't actually want you to use the kitchen properly as not much in the way of utensils provided. Kitchen hasn't been designed properly and the tap hits the wall. Dishwasher does not drain properly. First aid box provided inside the cupboard is actually empty and contains nothing. Seems as though they provide the amount of knives and forks as per the people who booked to stay (3 people stay 3 knives, 3 forks, 3 spoons) doesn't give you ability to actually cook properly. Bathroom is not actually designed for usage. The whole bathroom gets soaked because of the way the shower is located. The sink for the bathroom is not an adequate size and has been squeezed in. Bedroom facing rainbow street can be noisy and a bit odd that the window blind is a blind not a curtain and the actual blind does not close properly due to the window latch sticks out and means the blind cannot close properly. It's been done purely for rental and cheap, not actual practical use. Looks to have been recently decorated but a bit slap dash and paint left all over the floor. Reason for 3 stars is location and the heating. Apart from that, it would be less. Quite expensive but the location plays into this fact.

Amazing location! Apartment was very clean and you have a ton of space to use compared to a hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Great central location, good value for money. We enjoyed our stay in the AVA penthouse - great central location with a beautiful view, nicely decorated apartment with a small kitchen and very comfy bed (arguably the best I found in a hotel / rent apartment)!!! I also loved the heating system, lots of radiators so didn't feel cold at all. Modern access into the building, just by access code, no need for keys etc. The hosts were responsive and polite. You are within walking distance of all the city center hotspots and can see the lovely rainbow street and the cathedral which is a really nice touch. Thank you for the experience. Things that could be improved: cleanliness, soundproofing, toiletries.
