The SIF apartment is very comfortable, beautiful, and most importantly, quiet. The location is excellent: the apartment is just a short walk from Bus Stop 12, where the airport shuttles stop and where many tours depart. About a 5-minute walk away, there is Bus Stop 14, with buses running every 30 minutes toward the harbor. Around a 10-minute walk away, you reach the city center, where there is a market with several small restaurants and a supermarket with essential products, while another, larger supermarket is located about 10 minutes away in the opposite direction toward the outskirts. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious, and the apartments are fully equipped with everything you may need. If anything extra is required, guests can independently go to level -2 to pick up towels, bed sheets, etc. Customer support is always available and fairly quick in responding. I would recommend displaying the recycling rules inside each apartment and highlighting the use of the access card, as we did not understand what it was for until the last day. For the bathroom, I would suggest installing a longer shower curtain to avoid flooding the floor, since the shower is level with the bathroom floor. For the kitchen, I would recommend adding sugar, as it is an essential complement to the coffee, tea, and salt already provided by the apartment. Especially for tourists coming from Southern Europe — where we already get more than enough sunlight — I would also recommend installing blackout blinds or curtains that cover the upper part of the bedroom windows as well, because the current curtains do not block the large amount of light that comes in even at night during the spring and summer months.
Clean apartment with all the necessities for an extended atay. Easy access to bus stop 12 and connections to other public transportation. Local eateries are plentiful and varied. All of my meals were delicious. I will certainly consider this option for future travel. The host(s) wete easily contacted to answer my questions. Thanks!
This was an inexpensive yet well done accommodation. This would be a great space for 4-6 people. It was spacious and clean and nearby to so many things. Our bus stop/tour drop off and pick up was a mere steps away from our lodging. If we wanted to go to dinner, we were within a 15-minute walk of the food halls and the main street in Reykjavik. My friends who travelled with me were delighted with the airbnb. When I go back to Iceland, I will make it my mission to stay there again!
We stayed in apartment 707 and it was huge, well-appointed, and very comfortable. There were some issues with check-in, but they were eventually resolved, and extreme heat in one of the bathrooms. Despite these minor inconveniences, everything else exceeded expectations, and this truly felt like a 5-star accommodation, we couldn’t have made a better choice. Tips: - Bus Stop 12, a popular stop for excursions and transfers, is only a one-minute walk from the apartment. - The best price I found was on the hotel’s own website, better than Airbnb, Booking.com, and other sites once all fees and taxes were included.
Stayed here for our trip to Iceland, loved the apartment. The location was great, just a few steps away from bus stop 12. The apartment was spacious, had toiletries, laundry and kitchen facilities, bed was comfortable with extra blankets and pillows, ample space for clothes, loved the living room as great to come back to and chill after a day of activities. Would definitely stay again.
