We loved our three hour walking and eating tour in Reykjavik. We have done these tours in several different cities and it’s definitely our favourite. More like a chilled out walk with friends than an organised tour and the food selections were really authentic. Our guide Einar was just brilliant. Super company, great stories and really funny. I would sincerely recommend this tour with Friends of Reykjavik.

Excellent introduction to Reykjavik by Magnus. Really laid back and intimate introduction to the city. Friendly and very knowledgeable on the history of his city. Was able to answer all questions we put to him so just ask folks. That way we got some interesting background on the legend surrounding the 4 guardians of Iceland, the history of Iceland's DNA database and which local craft beer to try (Boli). Would heartily recommend Your Friend In Reykjavik.

The Reykjavik Cat Walk is the most fun tour that I have taken in the city! Barði is a friendly guide who is not only familiar with many of the cats in the city, but also with Icelandic history. He has a great sense of humor and was very patient with my attempts to speak Icelandic! We got to meet several local cats in the stores and Barði took us to his place and introduced us to his own cats! Takk fyrir mig, Barði!

Beer tour was outstanding!! My wife and I had Bo as our tour guide. Three stops-10 beers! Every beer was amazing. First stop Skuli, Second stop was Lenny’s where we picked any 5 beers. Third place I can’t remember—lol! Great tour guide , knowledgeable, easy to talk to, good sense of humor! We had fun! Highly recommend

We were delighted with our experience on the walking food tour with Your Friend In Reykjavík. We had the pleasure of having Palli as our guide and honestly, food aside, he was all the entertainment we needed. As a native of Iceland and retired fisherman, Palli (Pall) has an intimate knowledge of the country’s heritage and how its culture influences the local food. The highlight was honestly the Icelandic hot dog, as I’ve never had a hot dog that good in my life. The tour was extremely well arranged and orchestrated. At every stop, our tables were reserved and we never had to wait for our food for more than a few minutes. I really did not envision this food tour being one of the highlights of our trip, but it absolutely was. Highly recommend this tour to any visitors. Fantastic experience and many thanks to Palli!
