EK Garden Design

We are delighted with our front garden designed and planted by Emily of EK Garden Designs. Emily was so easy to work with over the last few months. We found her friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Emily was willing to listen and take on suggestions if they worked with the soil conditions and light aspects of our garden. I loved we didn’t have to make all the decisions at the beginning but could progress with the different stages and ideas. We are delighted with all the plants and areas covered. With many of the plants being bee friendly and providing a range of colour and form means we have interest at different times of the year which was one of our criteria. I was absolutely delighted from start to finish with my front garden makeover designed by Emily Kramer. The EK business card was handed to me at a garden centre in my locality following some brief enquiries and from that point on the project took off quickly. Our first phone converation was so friendly, informative and promising. I was looking for a creative, professional and realistic approach that would transform my relatively small suburban garden into a more contemporary space requiring less labour than the previous version but that would also reflect my desire for flowers,grass and nature generally. This is exactly what I got. All my wishes were taken into consideration in the final result and I now have a lovely updated look from my front window with plants and flowers (from Beech Hill) that are exactly to my taste and so well placed. I couldn't recommend EK garden design more highly. Emily's enthusiasm, obvious competence and reliability really stood out to me and her charges were extremely reasonable given the high quality and extent of her input.

We are absolutely thrilled to bits with our new garden. Emily was so lovely to deal with, always on hand to answer any questions , we worked with Emily from the consultation stage right through to completion of the garden. Emily’s passion and knowledge of plants is really quite impressive.

Emily helped me revamp the front of some of our borders that had gotten a bit old and tired looking, and to plant a new border following a driveway redesign. She willingly gave great advice, came up with new ideas that I hadn't thought of, and chose easy plants that have proved to be perfect for their space, bringing repeat planting around the garden to make the garden work as a whole. Very happy with the result. Emily gave me a list of plants and a planting plan, which I happily planted, knowing I was not just guessing at "right plant in the right place". Emily has done such an amazing job on our garden. From the moment we met her to do a consultation she took great time and care to really listen to us and consider our individual needs and style. I couldn’t envisage what I wanted but as soon as I started speaking she created the vision for us, which suited us perfectly. Her work ethic and attention to detail are relentless and her personal touches and great advice instilled such trust in her. Emily was fantastic. We have had a couple of garden designers over the years that seem to apply the same template for every garden that they work on. Emily on the other hand really listened to what we wanted from our garden and came up with some fantastic recommendations which were beautifully presented in her final report.
