Had a great experience with ERA Downey McCarthy - they’ve been with me full circle, from my first home purchase to selling it three years later. I initially worked with Sean McCarthy, and later Judy O' Brien handled both the purchase and the sale. I recently sold my home in Cork and engaged ERA Downey Mc Carthy as my auctioneer. I had several quotations from other companies and while all were very close in their valuations I chose ERA for their professional approach and did not feel pressured into signing up immediately as I was not quite ready to leave Cork when I got my quotations. Sean Mc Carthy made the first visit and assured me of the company’s success in sales in my area. Judy came and took measurements and preliminary photographs, the process then began. Angela handled all the viewings and was in touch each evening with updates on numbers of viewers and possible offers. The house attracted a lot of attention as it is located in a quiet area and close to many amenities and within walking distance of the city. In all from going on the market in Nov 2025 we were sale agreed before Christmas 2025. I have no doubt that the professional approach by ERA was a factor in the quick sale as they know their market well and have potential buyers also on their books.
