Michele Nunan handled the probate process, distributing assets, etc following the death of a family member. She was very efficient and easy to deal with. I would use her again in similar situations.

Michele Nunan of O’ Donoghue & associates was appointed to my case by the RTB when I had an issue with tenants.<br>She was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Used O'Donoghue & Associates (via their MyConveyance platform) for a property remortgage in early 2026. The legal work was completed, but the experience throughout was poor and warrants an honest account.<br><br>Misrepresentation of remote service<br>This is the most significant issue. We are based in Dublin and chose a Cork solicitor specifically because we were told the entire process could be completed remotely, without any in-person attendance. This was confirmed verbally by a member of the team named Grainne on 12th January, after we had submitted a request via the MyConveyance platform. I asked her directly whether we could complete the full process without meeting a solicitor, and she confirmed we could. This is also stated on the MyConveyance platform itself and in the documentation we received upon enquiry.<br>When it came to signing legal documents, this turned out not to be the case. We had to arrange an in-person meeting to have documents witnessed. We were fortunate that someone was available to accommodate us. Had we known this upfront, we would not have chosen a Cork-based firm.<br>I raised this issue formally in writing with the senior partner on 5th March 2026. No written response was received.<br>Separately, the MyConveyance platform was heavily promoted in initial communications as a way to manage the full process online. In practice, the platform was not used. Everything was handled by email and phone. The platform did not function as advertised.<br>Both of these are not minor misunderstandings. They are advertised features of the service that did not exist in practice.<br><br>Communication failures throughout<br>From January through to March 2026, we consistently had to send multiple follow-up emails to receive responses to straightforward queries. On one occasion, the same request was sent three times over five days without reply. Escalation to the senior partner by phone was required on more than one occasion to get movement.<br>The trainee solicitor assigned to handle our case was never once reachable by phone across the entire process. Approximately nine phone calls were made over the period. Each time, an excuse was given for her absence. Not once did she return a call. Every phone escalation had to be routed through other members of the team or directly to the partner.<br><br>Post-drawdown issues<br>After funds issued, we were told explicitly in writing that no further sums would be due to the outgoing lender. Approximately ten days later, we received notification that an additional charge had already been paid by the firm on our behalf, without prior consultation or approval. This charge arose from an interest calculation error by the outgoing lender using an incorrect date, which was confirmed by the senior partner. While this was ultimately a lender error rather than a firm error, the payment was made without our knowledge and we were only informed after the fact.<br><br>A balance of €110 was owed back to us at the close of the matter. Recovering this required over a week of chasing by both email and phone to see if it was paid out.<br><br>We would not use this firm again and would not recommend them, particularly to anyone based outside Cork who is selecting them on the basis of the advertised remote service.
