My wife Iris and I would highly recommend Pat and his team at Greenoak Construction after they completed work on extending our fourth bedroom and upstairs bathroom. We found them not only experienced, knowledgeable and professional but also courteous and conscientious, going, in our view, above and beyond what one would normally expect. It seemed that Pat and his team regarded the project not as just a job of work but a vocation, unlike many builders that we have experienced in the past. We now have a bedroom which is beyond our original expectations because Pat and his team took the time and made the effort to think outside of the box on our behalf to maximise available space.

Greenoak just completed an extension on our house, which exceeded our expectations. The quality of the work and professionalism of all tradespeople was outstanding. Having had lots of work done before, we’ve been burnt with tradespeople cutting corners delaying completion and leaving messes at the end of each day. Greenoak were exceptional in this regard, they take great pride in their work and we got on great with all tradespeople. While they were not the cheapest quote, you get what you pay for and very happy to recommend.

In January 2025 we went Sale Agreed on a house with a "F" energy rating, and in need of complete renovation, extension and modernization. Buying a "doer-upper" was the last thing we wanted but in hind-sight it turned out to be best thing we ever did mainly due to the fact that we found Greenoak Construction and Pat and his team made the process as straightforward and painless as it could possibly be, the result being we got the house we wanted in the location we wanted and finished to the exact spec and standard that we wanted. Coming in to this project we had two non-negotiables, a very tight six month timeline and, while the budget was sufficient, we could not afford to over-run. From our first meeting with Pat and Louise we were impressed with their straight-talking, upfront approach, this gave us confidence in the ability of the Greenoak team to deliver the project on-time while meeting all of the other key criteria. With little knowledge of the operators in the construction trade in the area we relied on Google reviews and for this reason, hopefully to help others, we have always been keen to leave our own review when the project came to completion. When reading the reviews we noticed that there was a very common theme and we are delighted to say that we were very lucky to receive the benefit of all of the same wonderful qualities of the Greenoak team throughout the course of our project. 1. Project Delivered on-time and on-budget: We began planning the project with Pat & Louise when we were still at "Sale Agreed" stage on the house which is testament to the fact that the Greenoak team wasted no time, our house sale completed on a Friday and the Greenoak team were ready to move on to site the following Monday, from that point onwards the team stuck with the project right through to completion with little to no downtime. Greenoak have great relationships with their suppliers which meant that lead-times were never an issue and throughout the course of the project there was never any delay due to availability of materials. The project was also delivered on-budget which was very important to us. 2. Attention to detail and quality of work is second to none: All of the core Greenoak team and their sub-contractors are top-class tradespeople, their attention to detail and the quality of their workmanship is flawless. We have a number of practical examples of this which we are very happy to share should anyone ever want to reach out. 3. Practical Approach: Pat adopts a very straight-forward, practical approach to his work and we were very lucky to get the benefit of the wisdom of his many years of industry experience, whenever we did encounter a problem it was always quickly followed by a practical solution. We are also extremely thankful for the advice and reassurance that he gave us on a number of occasions, we can genuinely say that we always felt that we were in safe hands from the beginning to the end of the project. 4. Excellent Team: We have already mentioned the top-class workmanship of the Greenoak Team, however, they are also a team of great people who provided us with support, advice and friendship throughout. The site was always a happy place to visit and we will always be so thankful to Louise, Felix, Dermot, Wes, Ciaran, Alex, Jack, Conor and the electrical and plumbing teams for their support and hard work. Thanks to Greenoak Construction we have just spent a very enjoyable and comfortable Christmas in our new home which now has a new footprint and an "A" energy rating. It is phenomenal to look back and see the sheer amount of work done by the Greenoak team over a short few months. We asked Greenoak Constructions to come out and quote us for the removal of a supporting wall between our kitchen and dining room. They were very prompt and efficient and we had our quote back quite quickly. They were very competitive with the pricing and were able to start within the week. The work took 2 days and the results were amazing. Would highly recommend. Good quality work and very professional and friendly.

I employed Pat and the crew at Greenoak to undertake the €1.2 million refurbishment of the main hostel and conference centre at the National Scout Centre, Tibradden, Dublin 16. They delivered the project on time and within budget. Pat worked hard to whenever problems arose during the build always thinking outside the box to find solutions that enabled the project to be completed within budget.
