AA Car Insurance has been the worst motor insurance experience I have ever dealt with. They were quick to take the payment when selling the policy to my wife, but when she actually needed support after a serious no-fault accident, they were nowhere to be found. The car was left severely damaged and stranded on a dangerous bend. She had to argue with the AA operator to have it recovered immediately after being told it could sit there for 24–48 hours — despite the obvious safety risk. Five days later, the car is still sitting in a recovery yard with no assessment completed and no clear communication from AA Ireland about when it will even be sent to a garage. To make matters worse, they refuse to provide a courtesy car until the assessment is done, leaving her unable to work and unable to provide essential healthcare to vulnerable patients who depend on her. At every stage, I have been left to chase, push, and sort things out myself. There has been no urgency, no ownership, and no meaningful support from AA Ireland. We pay insurance premiums so that when something goes wrong, the insurance company and broker steps in and helps. AA Ireland have done the exact opposite. Absolutely useless service. Avoid at all costs.

Decided not to renew my home insurance this year as Outsurance provided a policy which was half the price. Have been spammed non stop by AA call centre for weeks, despite emailing and chatting to them and asking them to stop. Easily received 15 x calls, several texts and many emails to renew. It’s like Groundhog Day. I had to block AA’s number on my phone. I have several AA products but I’ll be phasing those out due to this.

Couldn't recommend AA highly enough. From the moment you report your fault you're given live updates on where the patrol van is and how long it will take to arrive at your location. The personnel are always patient, polite and get the job done. Usually they'll be able to fix the problem there and then but if not they will tow you back to your home or your local mechanic. Great service.

I am presently onto AA car insurance. I was initially on for 50 minutes when I was cut off. I am still on waiting for someone to talk to. All I want to know is when I going to get my insurance documents. I have been with their roadside assistance for years. But no more. What an amateur inefficient organisation.

My mum's car wouldn't start and Jason from Dundalk bounced in tryed to start the battery asked if could go swords for a new battery I said try local shop in Balbriggan went got battery. Jason put it in no bother wouldn't come in for a cupa all done with in an hour and put a smile on my face such a lovely person. First time I ever had to use AA and was such a pleasant non stressful situation.
